Full course description
This year-long module is for students who have no previous knowledge of the language they have chosen to study an introduction to the language and culture of the chosen language.
The Modern Language module focuses on achieving basic levels of communication in all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Students will be introduced to basic language structures (grammar and vocabulary) while developing confidence and a degree of accuracy when using the language in a broad range of situations. The module also engages with aspects of the language’s culture and society as it aims to provide students with a wider context for language learning.
This module follows the blended approach, that is, it will be delivered partly face-to-face in interactive classes and partly online.
